Kashmir highway reopens after 7-day closure, Jammu convoy allowed
Srinagar, Dec 11 (UNI) Traffic on the 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu national highway was again resumed this afternoon after remaining suspended for about seven days due to landslides and shooting of stones, triggered by rains.
All the incoming and outgoing flights, including those carrying Haj pilgrims from the Jammu and Kashmir to Jeddah, also operated normally.
A traffic police official told UNI that traffic was resumed on the highway after the landslides were cleared.
He said all the stranded vehicles from Jammu to Srinagar were allowed to move. No vehicle would be allowed from Srinagar today.
