Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 11 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today emphasised the need to launch Indian Red Cross Society clubs in all schools and colleges across the country to inculcate the values of selfless service and discipline in the minds of the students.

Inaugurating a Radio Therapy Centre at the Indian Red Cross Society Hospital here, Dr Kalam said the students should be taught to extend different humane services to the society.

Lauding the services of the International Red Cross Society in various parts of the world, he said, ''service to humanity is service to god''.

Dr Kalam, who also dedicated the new radio therapy machine 'Bhabhatron-II' installed in the hospital to the nation, said continous efforts should be on to bring down the cost of treatment.

He complimented the scientists of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) for developing the 'Bhabhatron-II'.
