Floating buoy at Paradip to be ready by mid-Jan '07
Dubai, Dec 11 (UNI) An Iranian offshore engineering company will complete the installation of a floating buoy at Paradip port by mid-January next year, a company official has said.
Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) had started the installation work in early December, he added.
The company would complete the entire operation by mid-January according to an agreement with the project owner, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC).
Subsequent to installation of the floating buoy, pipes will be tested and expected to be handed over to IOC in mid-February, Tehran Times quoted him as saying.
The contract on the first phase of Paradip project was signed in 2004 and included the laying of a 48-inch pipeline extending up to 20 km and a 14-inch pipe spread in an area of 5.5 km.
