Explosion in New Jalpaiguri passenger train due to sabotage
New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) The November 20 explosion in a coach of Haldibari-New Jalpaiguri passenger train at Belakobe station in Katihar Division, which claimed seven lives, was due to sabotage, a statutory inquiry has revealed.
According to the provisional finding of the Commissioner, the explosion occurred due to 'sabotage'.
The inquiry was conducted by the Commissioner of Railway Safety, NF Circle, Kolkata.
''The finding is under the consideration of the Government,'' the Railway Ministry said today.
As a result of the accident, seven passengers were killed, 20 sustained grievous injuries and 25 others suffered simple injuries.
