Counting of Gram Panchayat elections to take place tomorrow

Surat, Dec 11 (UNI) Counting of the votes for the Gram Panchayat elections in south Gujarat will take place tomorrow.

According to sources, the counting will begin tomorrow morning at each taluka headquarters and results are expected by tomorrow night.

According to official figures, 78.05 per cent polling was recorded in 14 talukas of Surat district.

Meanwhile, repolling took place today in one ward in a gram panchayat in Umrawada taluka in Surat district, where polling was stopped yesterday due to some defect in the ballot papers, sources added.
