Cong headquarters ransacked and two party workers injured

Ranchi, Dec 11(UNI) Unidentified miscreants ransacked the state Congress headquarters here late last night and injured two party workers deployed.

Party secetary Madan Mohan Sharma told UNI today that a few miscreants ranasacked the state office located at Shradhanand road here at about 1330 am.

Mr Sharma said they tore apart the party banners, damaged the office of party's town president Vinay Sinha 'Dipu' and also injured two party workers.

A case at the Kotwali police station had been registered in this regard.

Meanwhile, Mr Dipu said earlier about 12 persons manhandled a Sevadal activist, a party office driver and burnt party banners and posters adding they also took away a few items of the party office.

He hoped that the incident was done to terorise them and efforts were on to find out the main reason.

Mr Dipu said a down floor hall of the party office had been given for mariage puorpose.
