Colourful start of winter session of AP house

Hyderabad, Dec 11 (UNI) The winter session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly commenced on a colourful note with legislators of various parties sporting scarves displaying their party colours.

With exception of Higher Education Minister P Venkateswara Rao and Transport Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana, who were undergoing 'ayyappa diksha,'' Congressmen came in neatly pressed sparkling white dress with scarves displaying the party tricolour.

The two ministers as also a few other MLAs sported black dress worn by Ayyappa devotees going on a pilgrimage to Sabharimala.

The members of the Left parties came to the Assembly donning raging red shirts.

The Telugu Desam Party members wore yellow shawls, while the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) were attired in light pink shirts.

Bonhomie prevailed at the breakfast hosted by the Speaker K R Suresh Reddy, to the Ministers and floor leaders, including Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu.
