BJP ready to face mid-term polls in Jharkhand: Munda
Daltonganj, Dec 11 (UNI) Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Arjun Munda today said the BJP was not in favour of mid-term polls in the State as it would add an extra-financial burden.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Munda said the BJP was ready to face the mid-term polls but the party was not in its favour as it would be a financial burden over people as well as and the State.
Mr Munda said , ''We are not making efforts to topple the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government of the State as it would fall itself.'' To a query, Mr Munda said relations with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) should not be seen as a new ''political equation'' and added that options were open in the democratic system.
Accusing the Congress of playing double standards, Mr Munda said the party should come with a clear stand on the Shibu Soren issue and alleged that the JMM supremo was a victim of the ''Congress conspiracy''.
