Bangladesh govt plans text books in local tribal dialects
Hyderabad, Dec 11 (UNI) Bangladesh government was planning to come out with text books in local tribal dialects for the tribal children living in Chittagong border district.
Jacob Kumar Sarkar of ''Save the Children of UK'', who led a nine-member Bangladesh delegation to the state to study the impact of text books prepared by Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) for the children of the nine tribal areas in the state, said the Bangladesh government was improving facilities in the schools in the tribal areas to attract more children and was planning to come out with text books in local tribal languges.
The delegation was here as part of their two-day official visit to the tribals areas and study the utilisation of text books, a press release said here.
Interacting with the delegation, the SSA Project Director K Chandrmouli said attendance had increased in the schools after the government introduced the tribal dialect text books in the tribal areas.
