Academic activities in Gorakhpur University suspended till tomorrow

Gorakhpur, Dec 11 (UNI) Academic activities in the Deendayal Upadhyaya University would remain suspended till tomorrow following students' unrest over postponement of the college union polls in Gorakhpur.

University Chancellor A N Mittal said the decision to suspend the academic activities was taken on the request of the district administration, while all the administrtive offices would remain open Tension brewed at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University on December 8, when the students lodged violent protests after the university authorities ordered to defer the students union polls to seek opinion of the Advocate General on the issue.
