Punjab Vikas Yatra to reach Jalandhar on Dec 12

Jalandhar, Dec 10 (UNI) The Punjab Vikas Yatra being organised by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will arrive Jalandhar on December 12.

Capt Singh will begin with the third phase of the Yatra from Balachor in Nawanshahr district tomorrow. The yatra will pass through Hoshiarpur district tomorrow and enter Jalandhar district on Tuesday.

After having night halt at Jalandhar the yatra will advance to Nawanshahr via Phagwara on December 13.

With a motive to brighten the ruling Congress' prospect in the next elections the chief minister had begun his yatra on November 8 from Nangal with its first phase concluding in Ludhiana. Congress state president Shamsher Singh Dullo and several party leaders had also accompanied Capt Singh.

The second phase of the yatra began on November 22 from Attari town in Amritsar district.
