Four member gang from Rajasthan arrested in city

Chennai, Dec 10 (UNI) Police today arrested a four-member gang, belonging to Rajasthan, wanted in connection with several shop-lifting cases here.

Police said the arrested identified as Jairam, Bharat Singh, Lakhsmanan and Biraram had confessed the crime and their modus operandi.

Preliminary enquiries revealed that the gang had links with notorious criminals Lalith and Pappu of north India, who are presently detained under Goondas Act.

Further investigations are on, police added.
