Businessman donates elephant to Tirumala temple

Tirumala, Dec 10: A Bangalore-based businessman has donated a three-year-old elephant to the Venkateswara temple at Tirumala.

Mr Anandh Singh, from Assam, made the donation to TTD Executive Officer A P V N Sarma and TTD Trust Board Chairman B Karunakar Reddy, at the temple premises yesterday.

He also handed over a cheque for Rs 2 lakh to Mr Sarma for the maitenance of the elephant.

Meanwhile, Mr Reddy today released '2007- Sri Vari Calendar' in front of the temple.
