Underworld Don Chhota Rajan's brother files ABA
Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) Four sets of anticipatory bail pleas were today filed today by Deepak Sadashiv Nikhalje, younger brother of underworld don Chhota Rajan, who is apprehending arrest in connection with rioting cases after the desecration of statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in Kanpur.
The pleas will come up before additional sessions judge M L Tahilyani tomorrow.
Nikhalje had cases registered against him in Tilak Nagar, Trombay, Ghatkopar and Shivajinagar police station areas under various sections of Indian Penal Code, including the prevention of damages to public property act.
However, he had already obtained anticipatory bail from the same court on December 4 in a similar case registered against him in Chembur police station area.
Meanwhile, Nikhalje was granted bail by Vikhroli Metropolitan Magistrate today on a bond of Rs 5,000.
He was arrested on Monday for unlawful assembly and damaging properties in a case filed with Nehrunagar police station.
Police had registered cases against him in various police station areas after dalit activists, led by him, indulged in stone pelting of the buses on November 28.
