Umbrey wins Roing bypoll

Itanagar, Dec 7 (UNI) Laeta Umbrey (Independent) today won the Roing assembly seat, defeating his nearest Congress rival Dature Muili by a slender margin of 465 votes.

Mr Umbrey wrested the seat from the Congress in the bypoll, which was necessitated following the resignation of Congress MLA Mukut Mithi after his appointment as Puducherry Lt Governor.
