Two Panchayats Secretaries suspends from service

Agartala, Dec 07 (UNI) Two Panchayat Secretaries were suspended from the service temporarily with immediate effect on allegation of corruption and for negligence of duty in Tripura's North and West Districts respectively recently.

According to official sources, Panchayat Secretary of Kumarghat block in north district was suspended for misuse of official funds, including panchayat development cash, Indira Awas Yojna and SGRY plan for an amount of Rs 1 lakh 95 thousand.

The suspension order against the secretary was issued after it was proved in an inquiry that he was involved in the corruption of official funds.

The secretary of Dukli block in west district was suspended for his negligence of duty, sources said.
