Seven killed in train-jeep collision

Ajmer, Dec 7 (UNI) Seven people, including three women, were killed when a train collided with a jeep in Nagaur district of Rajasthan this afternoon.

According to police, the accident occurred at Degana in Nagaur district. A few people of Chandni village were travelling in a jeep from Merta to Degana.

The incident took place when the jeep driver showed haste and tried to cross an unmanned railway crossing near Jhagdabas village.

Six jeep passengers, including two women, died on the spot while the third woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Three seriously injured people have been admitted at Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital here.
