Revival packages approved for 20 CPSEs cases

New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) The Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE) has given its recommendations for revival of 34 cases of Central Public Enterprises (CPSEs) till October 2006, said Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises Santosh Mohan Dev in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.

He said the Government has approved the proposals in respect of 20 cases so far. Among them ten PSEs are under the Department of Heavy Industries. These are -- Hindustan Salts Ltd, Bridge&Roof Co.(India) Ltd, BBJ Construction Co. Ltd, HMT Bearings Ltd, Praga Tools Ltd, Braithwaite&Company Ltd, Richardson&Cruddas Ltd, Tungabhadra Steel Products Ltd, Cement Corporation of India Ltd, and Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd.

The revival packages sanctioned by the Government generally envisage posting of profits by the CPSEs within 1 to 2 years of sanction of their revival package.
