Protest rally at Zunheboto against killing

Kohima, Dec 07: The general public of Zunheboto town, the district headquarters, held a protest rally on Tuesday in protest against a killing of one person by the cadres of NSCN-IM.

According to press release issued jointly by Vishiho Awomi, Chairperson and Kakihe Yeptho, Chairman if the Zunheboto Town Gaon Burah Association (ZTGBA) here today the rally was organised under the aegis of ZTGBA and town councillors to register their serious resentment against the killing of one Tokevi Yeptho, a resident of DC Hill area of Zunheboto town by the cadres of NSCN-IM on Monday last. During the rally, the public of Zunhoboto town condemned the heinous crime and urged the concerned underground faction leaders to take appropriate action against those responsible cadres.

The rally, which was attended by the leaders of Sumi Hoho, Sumi Kukami(Gaon Burah) Hoho and Sumi Totimi (Women) Hoho, also asked the faction concerned to compensate the widow and children of Tokevi.
