PDMA to host National Conference from Dec 19

Chennai, Dec 7 (UNI) The Indian chapter of Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) will conduct an International Conference on 'Innovation and New Product Development' from December 19 to 21.

A release from PDMA here said the event, sponsored by SAP, SAE India and Tata Consultancy Services, UGS, RIN, RMK Engineering College, Lucas-TVS and others, would be inaugurated on Dec 19.

The presidential address would be given by RANE Group Chairman L Ganesh and the opening address by PDMA Board of Governors Chairman Hamsa Thota. Automotive Components Business, Sundaram Clayton Ltd Advisor C Narasimhan would deliver the inaugural address on 'Innovations in Manufacturing'.

Gerry Katz from Applied Marketing Sciences Inc USA (AMS Inc)(a leading consulting company to most of the fortune 500 companies) would talk about 'Voice of the Customer' and IIM Ahmedabad Professor Anil Gupta would deliver a lecture on 'Innovation - The Indian Experience'.

The conference would also witness the book release of 'Innovation Management' by Shlomo Maital and D V R Seshadri, published by SAGE Publications, the release added.

PDMA would organise a short course on 'Voice of the Customer', for the first time in India, on December 19 and 20, which would be conducted by Gerry Katz. The conference and the short course would be held at RMK Engineering College, the release added.

PDMA India Vice President (Conferences) and RMK Engineering College Dean K Chandrasekaran said the objective of the conference is to present a forum for an international gathering of practicing product developers, academic researchers, marketing strategists and managers of innovation to interact and learn about the best practices for the successful launch of new products.
