One killed, four injured in attack by unidentified person

Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) One man succumbed to his injuries and four others were injured in a brutal assault on them by an unidentified person at Colaba in south Mumbai here.

Deceased Harish Ram Savare (19) and injured - Sunil Anand Shendge (25), Anand Kahar (18), Shabir Ansari (19) and Ganesh Haldare (19), were on their way to home near Regal Cinema, when a group of five people coming from the opposite direction pushed Sunil, following which both the groups had a quarrel.

At that time, an unidentified person came and assaulted Savare and his friends with a sharp weapon. The accused also suffered several injuries in the incident. All of them were admitted to G T Hospital where Savare succumbed to his injuries.

A case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered and further investigations are in progress.
