NEN launches portal for entrepreneurs

Bangalore, Dec 7 (UNI) The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), a leading catalyst of entrepreneurship education in the country, today launched 'NEN Online', the first portal for entrepreneurs in Asia.

Speaking on the occasion, NEN Executive Director Laura Parkin said the comprehensive portal would enable new and future entrepreneurs to access entrepreneurship information, people and activities across the country and help them build their knowledge, skills and networks from anywhere, anytime.

She said the portal was an integral part of NEN, a non-profit organisation which helped academic institutes build world-class entrepreneurship programmes on their campuses with the goal of building a vibrant community of entrepreneurial students and faculty.

Ms Parkin said NEN had a base of over 125 institutes across the country with a student member user pool of over 1,75,000 and hundreds of faculty, entrepreneurs and professionals. It would facilitate instant access to people, thoughts, entrepreneurship activities and materials, besides connecting working groups or institutes across the cities.

The members could search and download information, register for activities, blog, showcase their own entrepreneurship cells and manage and market their own entrepreneurship events. NEN had also entered into a partnership with Tech Tribe, an online networking platform based in San Francisco, to offer each NEN member the ability to build their own page and search for other NEN members at an individual level, she added.
