Monika Bansal bags gold in Defence Accounts Athletic meet
Chandigarh, Dec 7 (UNI) Monika Bansal of PCDA (WC) bagged Gold medal in women upto 45 years category in shot put (8.53m) on the 2nd day today of All India Defence Accounts Athletic meet-2006 here today.
Santi and Julie Sawant bagged Silver and Bronze medals resepctively.
In above 45 years women category, S S Phandtare bagged Gold while Geeta K and Brahmshila got Silver and Bronze medals resepctively.
R Radhika won Gold medal in 400 meters race of women catetory while R Phaneshwari and Linnet Rodgrigues stole Silver and Bronze medals resepctively.
In 100 meters race of men upto 45 years, Vijay S Singh got Gold medal while Sandeep Timbe and J K Dhakr got Silver and Bronze medals respectively. In the second category and above 45 years men race in the same event L R Tyagi bagged Gold while S C Tikhe and Rajendra Singh could get Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In the women category of the age group of upto to 45 years in 100 meter race, R Radhika got Gold while Linnet Rodrigues and V Vijaylakshmi got Silver and Bronze medals respectively and above 45 years catetory of 100 meters race S S Phadtare bagged Gold medal whiel Vijaylakhsmi and Geeta K got Silver and Bronze medals resepctively.
In shot put of men upto 45 years, S P Singh got Gold medal while Bhagwan Kakad and Abhitosh Rathi could get Silver and Bronze medals respectively. In the second category of the age group of above 45 years men B D Tyagi got Gold medal while Santosh Kumar Singh and Mukesh Verma got Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
Long Jump Men: Vijay S Singh and got Gold medal while Gulab Singh and K Ramakrishna got Silver and Bronze medal resepctively in the age group upto 45 years men L R Tyagi got Gold medal while Rajendra Singh and S C Tikhey got Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
Long Jump Women: In the long jump of women category upto 45 years R Radhika got Gold medal while Linnet Rodrigues and Nangkoi Gehaia got Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
