Militant shot dead near LoC

Jammu, Dec 7 (UNI) Security forces today shot dead a militant near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

After observing suspicious movement near the LoC at Kanga Nallah area early this morning, security forces opened fire in which one militant was killed, sources said.

Besides an AK assault rifle, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the site.

Details regarding the identity of the militant were yet to be ascertained, sources said.

Security forces were conducting search operations in the area till the last reports came in, they added.
