Manihari election result a victory of development : Nitish
Patna, Dec 7 (UNI) Enthused with the result of byelection to Manihari Assembly seat, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today termed it as a mandate in favour of the NDA government in the state.
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Kumar thanked the people of Manihari for reposing faith in the NDA.
He said JD(U) candidate Vishwanath Singh's victory bore an ample testimony to the people's urge for judicious development.
'' It is a victory of social and communal harmony, '' said Mr Kumar and assured to carry forward the welfare and developmental work in the entire state, specially in Manihari.
He reiterated his commitment to the minorities, saying his government had initiated several steps for an overall development of the section.
Meanwhile, Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Sadanand Singh alleged that the JD(U) resorted to manipulation to win the seat.
