Man convicted for minor's rape
Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) A local court today sentenced a person to three years rigorous imprisonment for abducting and raping a minor girl during 2004.
Additional sessions judge M S Keny convicted Nanku Ramdulare Passi under sections 366, 363 and 376 of the Indian penal code. He also slapped a fine of Rs 2000 on him.
The 15-year-old victim was a student of National Urdu High School in Jogeshwari and was in love with Nanku, staying in the same locality.
On November 12, 2004 while she was going to a beauty parlour, he forced her to accompany him to Barielly in Uttar Pradesh, where he raped her several times her during the three months stay.
On the basis of a complaint registered by her parents in Meghwadi Police station, a special police team arrested the accused from Uttar Pradesh.
