Loom worker from Orissa murdered

Surat, Dec 7: A loom worker, hailing from Orissa, was allegedly murdered by another man after an altercation ensued between them at Besthan, near here.

Police said Balram Gangadhar Polayi (30), a native of Devalappalli in Ganjam district of Orissa, was residing with his brother Sunil in Sidharha Nagar in Besthan. Last night, one Bhagwan met Balram and attacked him with a wooden block after a quarrel ensued between them.

Severely injured Balram was admitted to civil hospital for medical treatment, where he died today.

A case of murder has been registered against Bhagwan, police added.
