LDF retains Thiruvambadi assembly seat in bypoll

Kozhikode, Dec 7 (UNI) The Left Democratic Front (LDF) today retained the Thiruvambadi assembly seat, for which bypoll was held on December 4.

LDF's George M Thomas of the CPI(M) was declared elected after counting of the votes for the by-election, necessitated by the death of CPI(M) member Mathai Chacko, concluded.
