KLNLF bans Karbi Anglong autromous electioneering

Diphu, Dec 7 (UNI) The outlawed Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF) has banned electioneering to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council' poll which is slated to be held on January 6.

The KNLF in a statement said that it would not allow any political party to campaign for the forthcoming election to the autonomous body next month.

Meanwhile, most of the political parties have geared up with their machineries to start campaign in next three days time.

The KLNLF has made it clear that it would not allow any election campaign if its 10-point charter of demands were not conceded. The demands among others the question of self-determination of Karbi people, judicial inquiry into the gruesome killings of Harsing Timung, his wife and children, previous General Secretary of KLNLF besides a judicial inquiry into the incident of rape and murder of three KLNLF women cadres.
