Khargone peaceful after yesterday's clash

Khargone, MP, Dec 7 (UNI) Life returned to normal in this district headquarters where tension prevailed following clashes between members of two communities.

Trouble began when an argument took place over burning firecrackers during 'Mahaarti' on the occasion of 'Shourya Diwas' yesterday. Following this, members of two communities pelted stones at each other.

Police lobbed tear gas and resorted to canecharging in order to control the mob.

Collector E Ramesh Kumar reached the spot and took stock of the situation.

Superintendent of Police Takesh Gupta said the situation was under control.
