Jailed Shibu's wife ready to take command of JMM

Ranchi, Dec 7 (UNI) As speculation was on rife who would lead the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha after its supremo Shibu Soren was sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case, his wife Rupi Soren today offered her leadership.

Talking to reporters at her residence at Bokaro, she made no bone about her readiness to lead the beleaguered party and came down heavily on the CBI accusing the premier investigating agency of ploting against her husband.

Ms Soren's offer assumed a significance after many aspirants in the party reportedly were in the race for leadership. Some of them even suggested that the "Guruji" (Mr Soren) should lead the party from dungeon.

The former coal minister was now serving life imprisonment in connection with murder of his personal assistant.
