Jacob and Rymbai doante to soldiers welfare

Shillong, Dec 7 (UNI) Meghalaya Governor M M Jacob and Chief Minister J D Rymbai today donated for the welfare of soldiers and exhorted others to donate generously to the soldiers welfare fund.

In his message, Mr Jacob urged the people to support the armed forces with generous donation.

The tradition of observing the Armed Forces Flag day was started since the World War I, when large number of officers and men of the armed forces all over the world lost their lives or were disabled, Mr Jacob said.
