Individuals should play role in environment protection

Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary J Harinarayana today stressed that everyone should take more care in protecting the environment by planting more trees and conserving water.

Inaugurating 'CMS Vatavaran', the environment and wild life travelling film festival here, he said the mass media should take more responsbility in creating awareness on environment protection among public.

"As individuals, we must all do our bit to save the environment for our future generation," he said.

Emphasising the importance of spreading awarnesss on environment protection to every nook and corner of the country through audio-visual media, CMS Chairman N Bhaskara Rao said the travelling film festival was an effort in this direction.

The festival had travelled to 20 cities including Banglore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati and Srinagar, he added.
