Indian IT exports to grow at 27-30 per cent
Kolkata, Dec 07: Indian IT exports, including software and services, will grow at the rate of 27 to 30 per cent at the current fiscal.
NASSCOM President Kiran Karnik said here today that volume of export in the IT industry and ITES/BPO industry would be around US billion and US $ 8.5 billion respectively.
''The total number of people employed by the industry stands at around 1.3 million people. This year the industry has recruited 1,20,00 in the current year in the IT sector while in case of ITES it is one lakh, he said.
''By the year 2010 the total size of the industry will be around US $ 60 billion,'' he said.
