Hitakarini Samaj's centenary celebration begins

Rajahmundry, Dec 7 (UNI) The three-day centenary celebration of the Hitakarini Samaj founded by social reformer Kandukuri Veeresalingha began here today.

Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister J Ramamohan Rao in his address at the inaugural function held at one of the Samaj's College here, said a youth hostel would be constructed at Dowleswaram at a cost of Rs One crore.

He said the dilapidated V T Junior College building would be renovated at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore.

Rajahmundry MLA R Suryaprakasa Rao participated in the function.
