Govt to extend benefits to Ginning Units : CM

Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the government was in the process of extending more benefits of the new Textile Policy to ginning units to enable them to take advantage of modern technology.

An official release here said the Chief Minister, inaugurating the one-day seminar on 'Textile Forum - Sustaining Growth' organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here, said ''all Ginners should take advantage and modernize their units so that our cotton remains globally competitive.'' Stating that the government was consistently focusing on creating jobs for people, who had studied upto ten and twelve standard by promoting the textile sector in a big way besides creating opportunities in Information Technology and other sectors, he said the government would collaborate with the textile industry to set up training centers in various districts inorder to make the required manpower for upcoming textile industries.
