Ganguly must perform well to get selected in World Cup squad: More

Anand, Dec 7 (UNI) Former Chief selector Kiran More today said selection of Sourav Ganguly to the World Cup squad would depend on his performance during the South Africa tour.

''He is an experienced player and hope his presence in the team will bolster India's chances in Test series against South Africa. It has been also a God sent opportunity for Sourav to be back in the team and he should make good use of it,'' Mr More said, talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

Sourav's performance on the tour would decide if he could go to the World Cup, he added.

Expressing unhappiness on the drubbing that India got in the one-day series, Mr More said the body language of the tema was not proper. ''It has to believe in itself and pull itself up,'' he added.

He stressed on the need for talent hunt in all spheres of sports and said it should be done with long term goals in mind.
