4 firemen receive burn injuries extinguishing fire

Surat, Dec 7: At least four firemen today received serious burn injuries while they were busy extinguishing a fire that had brokenin a shop in Sayidpura area here after a gas cylinder blast.

Fire Brigade sources said the blast occurred this morning due to leakage. The firemen reached the spot and began dousing the fire.

However, the intensity of fire was so severe that they received serious burn injuries.

All the injured firemen have been admitted to the civic hospital here, sources added.
