DoNER provide exposures for N.E states

Shillong, Dec 7 (UNI) In order to bring about larger exposure to the potential and strength of the North Eastern region, a number of important events and exhibitions in diverse areas, such as trade, investment, tourism, handlooms and handicrafts and agriculture, have been supported and organized by the Ministry of DoNER.

Major exhibitions have been organized in Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati, which have provided the much needed domestic and international exposure to the unique products of the North East, apart from generating significant sales.

Arrangements are being made to hold such exhibitions in other major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chhenai.

Assistance has also been provided to the PSUs, including the North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation (NERAMAC) and North Eastern Handloom&Handicrafts Development Corporation (NEHHDC) for upgrading and expanding their activities for marketing of the NE horticulture products and crafts.
