Deshmukh assures CBI probe into Malegaon blasts
Nagpur, Dec 7 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today assured a delegation of Congress legislators that the probe into the September bomb blasts in Malegaon would be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Mr Deshmukh gave the assurance to a 20-member delegation led by Mohammed Arif Naseem Khan.
The delegation demanded that the investigation into the blasts in Malegaon as well as Nanded and Parabhani be entrusted to CBI, Mr.
Khan told UNI.
The delegation, which included former minister of state for home Kripashankar Singh, Bhai Jagtap, Nitin Raut, also handed over a memorandum citing priority matters to the chief minister.
