Delegation leaves for New Delhi
Puducherry, Dec 7 (UNI) A delegation of JIPMER anti-conversion peoples action committee left here for New Delhi today.
The delegation led by CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Council Member T Murugan would thank the left leaders for ensuring the postponement of the introduction of the Bill to convert JIPMER into an autonomous institution, in the Rajya Sabha today.
The delegation would also meet several leaders in the capital to discuss the next course of action in the issue.
Two AIADMK legislators are camping in New Delhi for the arrival of the delegation.
Leaders of BJP, DPI, RPI and representativeS of the confederation of the state government employees association were also in the delgation which left for New Delhi.
