Crores recoverd from ACB raid

Jaipur, Dec 7 (UNI) The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today unearthed disproportionate assests running in to several crores in a state wide raid of five officials of the Rajasthan government.

The raids have been conducted in 35 places spread over nine districts in the state.

Director General of Police (ACB) PK Tiwari said the ACB sleuths recovered one kg of gold and 23 kg of silver apart from cash of Rs 2.62 lakh from the the residence of Additional District Magistrate Udaipur Satya Narayan Latti.

He said Latti has amassed property in the form of plots at prime locations, mines, farms houses, show rooms and hostels worth in several crores in proxy names.

The ACB seized cash worth Rs 4.11 lakh from Deen Dayal Agarwal, an account of the Rajasthan Housing Board of which Rs three lakh was kept in a cavity of the house while Rs 44,000 was found under the bed. Mr Tiwari said according to initial estimation the total property of Agarwal is estimated to be more than Rs two crore.

The other RAS officer Pal Singh who is now assisatant commissioner Coloniation posted in Bikaner has amassed land worth crores in the name of his relatives. He has got 90 bigha of land at Ganganagar, 200 bigha in Bikaneer in his brother's name, 48 bigha of land in the name of brother-in-law and mother-in-law in Jaisalmer. He has got a posh house constrcuted in the name of brother in law at Bikaner worth 60 lakh.

Mr Tiwari said the ACB estimates the property of Hanuman Prasad Kachava who is the managing director of the Urban Co operaive bank Ajmer at Rs 2 crore.

The property of the police official Phool Mohammad DYSP(CID) Crime Branch is also in crores. He has got a four-storey flat at Lal Kothi worth Rs 30 lakh, another flat at BJS colony in Jodhpur worth Rs 15 lakh and a house that is under construction in his sisters name in Jotwara in Jaipur.
