Congress wins Bobbili LS seat

Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) Congress' B Jhansi today won the Bobbili Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh, defeating her nearest rival TDP's Dr Appalanaidu by a slender margin of 1000 votes.

The Congress wrested the seat from TDP, for which bypoll was held on December 4.

BJP candidate Sanyasi Raju lost his deposit.

The TDP has represented the Bobbili seat for the last six terms.

Ms Jhansi is the Zilla Parishad Chairman for Vizianagaram District and wife of the Andhra Pradesh Marketing Minister Botsa Satyanarayana.
