Bangalore, Dec 7: Former deputy Chief Minister and Congress candidate Siddaramaiah wins Chamundeshwari by-elections by a meager margin of 257 votes today.Siddaramaiah wins Chamundeshwari assembly seat for the 5th time.
Chief Minister, H D Kumaraswamy and his father H D Deve Gowada had reportedly pumped in a lot of resources to defeat Siddharamaiah.Siddaramaiah now claims to bring the ruling JD(S) Government down.
TRS Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao retains Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat by defeating Congress rival Jeevan Reddy by 1 lakh votes.
K Chandrasekhara Rao won the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat in 2004 with more than a lakh votes before he quit the union cabinet on the issue of separate statehood for Telangana. BJP candidate Vidyasagar Rao lost his deposit in the multi-cornered contest.
In Kerala, Left Democratic Front wins the Thiruvambadi Assembly seat with its candidate George M Thomas scraping through with a margin of 246 votes.
