Cong to challenge firing in air during Tomar's welcome
Gwalior, MP, Dec 7 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Congress will challenge in the court unrestrained firing in air by BJP workers and supporters of Mr Narendra Singh Tomar while welcoming the newly-elected state BJP President for the first time in his hometown.
District Congress President Prakash Khandelwal told reporters here hundreds of rounds were fired and the Arms Act was grossly violated in the presence of Mr Tomar, state ministers and police.
He said a memorandum demanding strict action would be submitted to the Inspector General of Police tomorrow.
He added that a rally to protest the policies of the state government would be taken out in Datia district on December 22.
