BJP says Pandhana victory result of development
Bhopal, Dec 7 (UNI) Expressing gratitude to people for electing the party in the assembly by-election to Pandhana constituency, the BJP today described the victory as a result of development carried out by the state government.
BJP MP Vijay Kumar Khandelwal said party nominee Devendra Sharma's triumph is a sign of ''victory of developmental works being carried out by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and trust in the state government's policies.'' Mr Verma said he would strive to develop the region.
Congress President Subhash Yadav alleged that more than stated number of ministers and MLAs were present during the by-poll and official machinery was misused to poll bogus votes.
He claimed that the government had grossly violated the model code of conduct and terrorised the electorate.
Bharatiya Jan Shakti General Secretary Prahlad Patel thanked voters for peaceful polling and said the BJS fared better by garnering more than 13 per cent votes.
The decline in vote share of the Congress and the BJP proved that the electorate were disillusioned with both the parties.
