BJP objects to high level diplomacy through public pronouncements

New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) Taking strong exception to the tendency of the Government to conducting high level diplomacy concerning Indo-Pak relations through public pronouncements, the BJP today asked the Prime Minister to clarify what he actually meant about ''making the borders irrelevant''.

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh said there was 'perplexing timidity' in Indian response to Pakistan on number of issues and the Government should clarify what exactly are they discussing with Pakistan. ''It should also mention for which state was Pakistan President Gen Pervez Musharraf, talking about ''shared soverignty'', he said, adding that did General Musharraf expect India to abdicate its duties and rights to the people of Kashmir?
