Baltic Sea Region calls for Indian investors
New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) Baltic Sea Region (BSR), a consortium of six countries Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden, today invited Indian companies to set up businesses in sectors like life sciences, engineering, automotive and IT and Telecom sectors there.
''With globalisation and liberalisation, several Indian companies have expanded their global operations in various sectors across the world including the BSR,'' BSR Managing Director (Copenhagen Capacity) O Rolf Larssen said.
Companies such as Indo Rama, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, Larsen and Toubro, and Rheoscience have successfully invested in the region, he said.
The consortium will provide free consultation to the companies regarding setting up a new business, information and practical advice, arranging visit programmes and introductions to government officials of the concerned nation, Mr Larsen said.
''Easy access to European and Russian markets, cost-effectiveness, highest rates of industrial production growth in Europe and high production efficiency based on ground-breaking IT technology, equates to value for money for our partners,'' said Ms Raimonda Sadauskiene, Deputy Director General, Director of Investment, Department, Lithuanian Development Agency, BSR.
