Azad donates Rs 21,000 on flag day lauds defence forces

Jammu, Dec 7 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today lauded the services rendered by the soldiers and donated Rs 21,000 towards Armed Forces Flag Day collection.

The day, which is observed to commemorate and honour brave soldiers who had sacrificed their lives, also marks the collection for the welfare fund of ex-servicemen, widows and their dependents.

Talking to retired defence personnel, Mr Azad specially referred to the great sacrifices of soldiers who had attained martyrdom for the solidarity and integrity of the country and protecting it from internal and external foes.
