AP minister resigns
Hyderabad, Dec 7(UNI) Andhra Pradesh Sports, culture and Cinematography minister M Satyanarayana Rao submitted his resignation to Chief minsiter YS Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat here today, following the defeat of the Congress in the byelection to Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency.
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Rao said, ''he as a minister hailing from Karimnagar district, had submitted his resignation to Chief Minister owning moral responsibility for the defeat of the Congress in the by-poll.'' ''As a minister and senior Congress leader of the district, I own moral responsibility for the defeat of the party in Karimnagar where the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader K Chandra Sekhara Rao won the seat with a thumping majority of 2,01,000 votes, he said.
